Aaron Cornelius (born 29 May 1990) is a current Australian rules football player for the Brisbane Lions.
He was selected with the Brisbane Lions' fourth selection (pick 57 overall) in the 2008 National Draft.[1]
Cornelius was given the number 44 jumper, previously worn by Brisbane Bears and Brisbane Lions champion Nigel Lappin.[2] He fell out of favour in 2011 when he was unable to kick a goal in consecutive matches. Instead, Patrick Karnezis and Bryce Retzlaff got matches. He was recalled later in the year, only because of the injury to Jonathan Brown
Aaron Cornelius usually plays Half Forward Flank (Third tall Forward) but has also played Full Forward/Centre Half Forward for Tasmania. He can also play as Centre Half Back as well (Brisbane Lions Reserves).
